My improvisation is inspired by classical form and timeless structure. It reflects a sense of discipline, elegance, and control, drawing from the traditions of classical art and music. The movement balances precision with fluidity, mirroring the steady progression of the cello. Through shifts in pace and intention, the piece explores refinement, focus, and personal growth within a structured foundation.

ENSEMBLES
1
Hoppin and Boppin
Dancers: Morgan, Amanda, Daniela, Kate
Music: Valerie by Mark Ronson and Amy Winehouse
2
“House Vibes”
Dancers: Jackson Bass, Kyle Urdan, Dylan Hersh, Noah Yi, Michael Suarez
Music: Edge of Desire by Jonas Blue
Our piece is inspired by being comfortable in yourself. Also filtering negativity, flowing to the music, and being free.
3
Lose Control
Dancers: Matt, Benji, Alexa, Jade, Madison
Music: Scream & Shout.
Our ensemble focuses on a non-narrative style, using movement and energy instead of telling a clear story. We use sharp, staccato movements mixed with more chaotic and fluid motions to create contrast. We also explore different levels by moving our bodies high, medium, and low to make the dance more interesting. Overall, our piece is about being creative, trying new movements, and working together as a group while keeping the performance engaging.
